Astrology is the study of LIGHT, which symbolizes knowledge and wisdom because Light dispels darkness giving rise to SIGHT. DISPEL is DIS “apart” + SPELL “bewitch, subject to magical influence” meaning “to take apart the spell which exerts its magical influence” (which is why a study of astrology also leads one into a deep study of etymology and how words are “spelled” and pronounced; this LIGHT DIS-SPELLS the darkness of ignorance regarding language, our Matrix). Light is an applied principle, and darkness is nothing more than the absence of light. You can’t see in the dark. Darkness also represents ignorance, since knowledge and wisdom are absent (ab “away” + sent “to send”). Also, when ANGELS are spoken of, this is codified language for ANGLES, referring to ANGLES of LIGHT, and this is what the Science of Astrology is all about.
The planets and stars have an energetic influence over us. We know that the moon causes changes in tide levels on earth, and we also know that the moon somehow is connected to the menstrual cycle of the woman (womb+man). Fantastic stories have even generated over time about people transforming into werewolves during full moons. Clearly, the Moon is intimately tied to our experience and existence. Is there any coincidence that the words moon and mood are so similar, and that a month is really a moonth?
We also know that the Sun has an effect on our spirits and moods. Sunny days tend to lift spirits, whereas cities that are known for the highest rates of depression and suicide also have reputations for regular overcast and limited sunlight. Aside from the emotional influence of the Sun, there are also real physical effects of which most are aware. Like getting a tan after being exposed to direct sunlight for a time; AND the production of Vitamin D as well as the hormones melatonin and serotonin as a result of being in the Sun’s rays.
The Moon and Sun just happen to be the closest to us, so their influence and obvious effects are readily observable for anyone of reasonable intelligence willing to pay attention. The other planets also exert their force over us, although their influences are more subtle due to proximity, and depending on the exact time and location of our respective births, the planets will be arranged a particular way which, due to the intricate combinations of light, their influences on each other in terms of how they reach us and the ANGLES they reach us is UNIQUE (which my gut tells me is where the expression UNICORN derives from, or UNIQUE + HORN, talking about Ammon’s Horn in the brain center, which is the hippocampus in the diencephalon).
THREADED IDEAS TO PONDER
As an additional example of just how deep the rabbit hole goes, consider that HORSE is also phonetically identical with HORUS (son of Isis and Osiris, and often credited as being the origin of the Christ story, Horus and Christ being synonymous). The terminology “optic thalamus” comes from ophthalmos or oPHTHAlmos (remember, it's in the sound -- say PHTHA and then pronounce PTAH to see their phonetic likeness). Ptah means “mouth, opener”. Further, Patañjali (as in the Yoga Sūtras of Patanjali) is PTAH + AÑJALI, where añjali means “divine offering” and this all has to do with the brain center, the diencephalon, optic thalamus, pineal body, etc. where the mouth of God (mouth being the “opening” of a river where the flow begins; shedding new light on what is meant by THE WORD OF GOD, since words spring from mouths). The WORD OF GOD is the CHRISM, the CHRISTOS, the SUN IN MAN, THE LIGHT. This is WHY ASTROLOGY.
And then there is the more obvious reason (having to do with the CHRISM and procuring HEAVEN ON EARTH) for WHY ASTROLOGY, that doesn’t call for you to be an expert astrologer, which is simply to know when the Moon transits your Sun Sign. It is during this 2 ½ to 3 day period that you are to PAY YOUR TITHES, which means to conduct yourself impeccably (I also find it interesting how phonetically similar tide and tithe are). To know the Moon’s zodiacal schedule each moonth, you can follow me on Instagram, subscribe to my newsletter, or your can download the iLunar app for iPhones (at the time of this posting there was not an equivalent app for Android phones). For more details on PAYING TITHES you can download 12 THINGS TO KNOW to refine and increase your CHRISM.

- ➤A unicorn is a horse with a single horn extending from its forehead.
- ➤The term hippocampus, sometimes described as a sea-monster in dictionaries, derives from hippo “horse” + campus “field, flatland, pasture” (think “field of vision”)
- ➤The hippocampus in the brain looks identical to a seahorse.
- ➤The hippocampus is also known as Ammon’s Horn (which is a Ram’s Horn, going back to Ramses of ancient Egypt, and referring to the Lamb of God, which looks like a Ram (which is a male LaMB) in the Brain Center/ LiMBic system / Diencephalon, DIEU “God” + CEPHALON “Head”).
- ➤The hippocampus also surrounds the optic thalamus and pineal body of the brain.
- ➤The optic thalamus is the inner chamber, or Eye (thus optic “of sight or seeing” and thalamus, which means chamber, which traces to camera, an instrument that has become known for picture-taking in modern photography; PHOTO = LIGHT).
- ➤The pineal gland has photoreceptors (aka “light” receptors called rods and cones) just like the retina of the two outer eyes used for normal sight.
- ➤When we are born, light energy penetrates us at unique angles in unique combinations, THIS IS WHY ASTROLOGY. MAN, KNOW THYSELF, and to Truly know thyself, the study of light and its effect on us is paramount (based on our unique birthplace and time). [SIDE NOTE: (but related) the significance of Light is quite apparent, which is “another” reason I stick to PHOTOSYNTHETIC FOODS, aka plants.]
