Yoga wasn't born in India, it was just preserved there and kept intact for a good bit of time (at least in proximity to relatively recent years to our own/today). For proof, you can go to what is written in stone in Egypt (Kmt) to find clues that will reveal this truth to you. Even the name Krishna (from Indian/Hindu text) means "the perfect black." This is not a racial matter (blackness), but rather a human (hue-man) matter. We are all human beings with pigmentation (although varying degrees of pigmentation which has much to do with our relationship to the Sun and how we interact with it). As individuals, we each need to be careful that we do not buy into the many "divisive racial ideas” that suggest any group of humans, especially based on phenotype and degree of pigment, is less or more valuable than any other group of people. If anything, people that cause harm and destruction of life (human or otherwise) and spread fear and disharmony are least valuable of all, no matter what their degree of hue. Ignorance has people fighting politically for whose "group" made what contribution to the world. And the perceived value of that group then becomes the basis for how much that group is appreciated in our world. As they say, he who controls the past controls the future, and he who controls the present controls the past. It is also said that history is written by the victor/conqueror. You do the math on that :-) If people only knew what contributions have been made by very very dark pigmented people, who incidentally inhabited that part of the earth we refer to as Africa (eastern north central -- heck, all of Africa for that matter... and all over the world!), then there might be more "appreciation" (rather than tolerance) of the range of humanity (or should I say hue-man-ity). Genocide, war, and destruction are fear based diseases of the human psyche. Rid yourself of this disease before it destroys you. But that's another conversation for another day. Let's chat about that over a nice meal. Back to the point! Hue-mankind discovered long ago that there were/are ways we could/can direct the mind and things we do to vastly improve ourselves AND as a result developed a system (we refer to as yoga) whereby anyone of us could apply certain conscious efforts to accelerate our personal evolution. I like to think of this as applying heat and pressure to ourselves so that we can intentionally develop ourselves from a piece of graphite into the diamonds we are meant to be. How soon that happens is up to us. It begins with each individual first, so every person must accept and assume the responsibly of becoming his or her BEST now! Then as the number of individuals improves (that's us), so will communities, societies, and then the world. Let's do this together! We owe it to our children and our children's children, and so on... If you have not already, give yoga a try and see how yoga makes your soul bling bling. Get healthy, wealthy, and wise, AND live your purpose!
